The Whittier Chamber has many different ways to help you market your business. The following is a brief summary of several ways you can make your membership work for you! Please contact the Chamber office if you have any questions.

Online Marketing Opportunities

Market your business to the world by taking advantage of the affordable marketing packages offered. Get hyper-linked to your own website, display your logo, have your business searched under multiple business categories, add business representatives’ names and emails and more!

Door to Door Flyer Program

This program gets your flyer or advertising piece into the hands of 4500 homeowners in Whittier. We target homes in the Whittwood Town Center, Michigan Park and Uptown areas and go out six times a year. If you’d like to promote your business or services to Whittier residents then this is the way to do it! You supply the 4500 advertising pieces and we’ll do the rest. The cost is $225 to participate and each Door to Door drop is limited to the first 15 businesses to sign up. Reserve your space today!

Business Focus Advertising

Each month the Whittier Chamber publishes a 16 – 20 page newspaper called the Business Focus. The total distribution is 8,000 with 5,000 copies direct mailed to Chamber members and business owners, 2,000 copies direct mailed to Whittier residents and 1,000 copies drop distributed to various public locations throughout Whittier. The paper features local news, Chamber events, business tips, a community calendar and a very popular feature, Around Town. Annual contracts for advertising space offer the best economic deals, but monthly ads are also available. Ad space begins as affordable as $75 per month for our contract rate. Business Directory Advertising

The Whittier Chamber publishes an annual Business Directory which lists important Whittier phone numbers, demographic and historical information, community services and a complete directory of all Chamber members. Advertising space is available at a very reasonable cost. Members are listed under their primary category, but additional categories can be purchased. (This is ideal for the restaurant owner who also caters, the real estate broker who also does property management, the banker who also specializes in home loans.) Members also have the option of listing more than one contact, bold facing their entry and including additional facts about their business such as websites and email addresses. 8,500 copies of the Business Directory are printed with distribution including all Chamber members and an additional 6,500 Whittier residents.

Event Sponsorship Opportunities

Several of the Whittier Chamber’s special events feature sponsors. Sponsors receive various forms of marketing and publicity benefits ranging from Business Focus articles, banners and public recognition at events. Many different levels of sponsorships are available for events such as our annual Golf Tournament, Business Expo, Seminars, Bowling Tournament, Silver Shield Awards Banquet and monthly Wake Up Whittiers and Mixers. Event sponsorship is a great way to support the Chamber and receive marketing exposure for your business.

Mailing Labels

If you want to do some direct mail marketing on your own, the easiest way to accomplish this is to purchase a set of Chamber member mailing labels (approximately 700 labels). These are available only to Chamber members for $60. Please allow 1-2 business days to have a set made just for you.

Press Releases

Is there something special going on in your business? Have you or one of your employees won any special awards? Completed special training? Let us know! We will accept press releases and, if space allows, we will print your news in our Business Focus newspaper. Deadline for all press releases is the 10th of the month prior to publication.

Table Hosts

Hosting a table at Wake Up Whittier is a great way to meet some new people and market your business! Simply call the Chamber office to sign up to be a table host at an upcoming Wake Up Whittier. Then plan goodies, hand out your business information, decorate your table and be prepared to “host” your guests at the event. The cost is FREE!

Counter Top Marketing

Bring your business cards and brochures to the Chamber office for display at the front counter. It’s a great way to market your business to anyone who visits the Chamber!
