The Whittier Chamber offers many different ways to help you market your business. The following is a brief summary of various ways you can make your membership work for you. Online Directory Marketing
Help your business reach the world by taking advantage of affordable website advertising. Each chamber member gets a basic listing online and their website link, but don’t stop there! Add your logo, add tags to your business so it comes up in multiple searches, or add additional business categories making it easier for your customers to find you. Do you have an event coming up that you want to share with our 2,000/week website visitors? The Whittier Chamber's event section is the perfect place to do that! For only $50 a week, members can feature your event on the top of our calendar. Requirements:
- Provide an image (400px width X 200px height) See examples here.
- Determine how many weeks you want your event ad to run.
- Send that image and how many weeks you want to feature your event to our Director of Public Relations, Celina at email@example.com.

Business Focus Visibility & Advertising
The Whittier Chamber publishes a bi-monthly 16-page newspaper called the Business Focus. The total distribution is 12,000 with 1,900 copies direct mailed to Chamber members and all licensed Whittier businesses, 9,800 copies direct mailed to Whittier residents, and 300 copies drop distributed to various public locations throughout Whittier including the library branches, coffee shops, and community/senior centers. The paper features Chamber news, upcoming events, business tips and information, a community calendar, and the Around Town section where Chamber members can submit their news for free. Annual and seasonal contracts for advertising space offer the best pricing, but per-issue ads are also available. Ad space begins at only $100 an issue! Business Directory & Community Resource Guide
The Whittier Chamber publishes an annual Business Directory which lists important Whittier phone numbers, demographic and historical information, community services, and a complete directory of all chamber members. Advertising space is available during the annual campaign which begins in November and runs through December each year. Members may update or change their basic listing in the book and online during this time and purchase additional items such as a business card size ad, a bold listing, or additional categories. (This is ideal for restaurant owners who also offer catering, the real estate broker who also offers property management services or the banker who also specializes in home loans.) 8,500 copies of the Business Directory are printed annually with distribution including all chamber members and an additional 6,500 to Whittier residents throughout the year.
Event Sponsorship Opportunities
Several of the Whittier Chamber’s special events are supported by generous member sponsors. Sponsors receive various forms of marketing and publicity benefits ranging from Business Focus articles, banners, and public recognition at events. There are various levels of sponsorships available for events including our annual Hathaway golf tournament, business expos, seminar series, Silver Shield Awards Banquet, mixers, and monthly Wake Up Whittier breakfasts. Event sponsorship is a great way to support the Chamber and receive marketing exposure for your business at the same time! Looking to promote your next fundraiser or event? Offering a deal to local chamber members and want to send out your coupon? Purchase a set of Chamber mailing labels (approximately 700 labels) which include the general membership, additional representatives, City Council, and VIP labels. Mailing labels are available to chamber members only for $60. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to order your set and allow 1-2 business days to be ready for pick-up.

FREE Table Hosting
Hosting a table at the Chamber’s Wake Up Whittier event is a great way to meet some new people and market your business. Email email@example.com to sign up to be a table host at an upcoming monthly breakfast and you’ll have the chance to host 8-10 local business professionals at your table and leave them with your promotional materials. Put together some goodies, hand out your business cards, decorate your table, and be prepared to talk about your business to new chamber friends.
Counter Top Marketing
Bring your business cards and brochures to the Chamber office for display on the front counter. It’s a great way to market your business to anyone who visits the Chamber including fellow members, local residents, or folks visiting the area looking for – you guessed it – reliable referrals!
